Angels In The Moonlight The Dublin Trilogy is a captivating and enchanting historical fiction series that follows the lives of three extraordinary women during the tumultuous years of the Irish Civil War. Set against the backdrop of a nation torn apart by conflict, the trilogy explores the complexities of love, loss, family, and friendship.
The first book in the trilogy, Angels In The Moonlight, introduces us to Nora Kavanagh, a young woman from a wealthy Catholic family. Nora is torn between her love for her Protestant fiancé, Michael, and her loyalty to her family and her country. As the Irish Civil War rages around them, Nora must make a choice that will have a profound impact on her life.
The second book in the trilogy, The Ghosts Of The Past, follows Nora's sister, Kathleen, as she navigates the challenges of life in a post-war Ireland. Kathleen is haunted by the ghosts of the past, both literally and figuratively, as she struggles to find her place in a world that is forever changed.
The third and final book in the trilogy, The Daughters Of Destiny, brings the story full circle as Nora and Kathleen's daughters, Maire and Eileen, come of age in a new Ireland. Maire and Eileen are faced with their own challenges and must find their own way in a world that is still grappling with the legacy of the past.
Angels In The Moonlight The Dublin Trilogy is a beautifully written and emotionally resonant series that will stay with you long after you finish reading it. The characters are complex and relatable, and the story is both heartbreaking and inspiring. If you're a fan of historical fiction, or if you're simply looking for a great read, I highly recommend this trilogy.
